Objective

The primary objective of the Certified Nurse Assistant/Patient Care Technician is to provide students with the hands-on training necessary to offer high-quality care to patients while working alongside other qualified health care professionals. Course offerings include training in hospitals, nursing homes and home health agencies, as well as courses of study and practice in skills related to patient care. Students divide their time between classroom and laboratory instruction to best equip them to pass the Missouri Certified Nursing Exam and  secure employment in the health care  nursing industry. The course includes 75 classroom hours, 100 clinical hours, CPR and First Aid, EKG and Phlebotomy.

Opportunities for Employment

Graduates of this program are in high demand because this program is very unique. Students will graduate with certification in both Certified Nurse Assistant and Patient Care Technician, also with skills in EKG and Phlebotomy. They will be qualified to work in any medical facility as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician.
